Another story that happened today on duty is the refusal of the soldiers stationed under the Cordoba school to allow a delegation of teachers from Sweden to come to visit the school. My attempts at intervention through the DCO in Hebron to allow them to ascend had no results. The company commander of the Rotem battalion of Givati refused for operational reasons.
Thus the Swedes received an excellent demonstration of the arbitrariness of the Israeli occupation and the significance of having a Palestinian school in such a system.
I really feel bad experiencing this and knowing that we have many more years to go. How did one of the Swedes say, "We are all waiting for the deal of the century".
