סימיה - המארחים פרחאן ואשתו

Due to the workers' strike (protest over the transfer of salary to Palestinian banks and not in cash), the parking lot is less crowded.

On Route 60 (turn left from the checkpoint), there is a new army position, closer to the fence. Before that, the position was further away, among the trees. Along several hundred meters, tree branches were brought down which hid what was happening along the fence.

This allows the area to be exposed and makes it easier to see illegal workers.

About 1 km from the first tent, another tent was set up on the left side of the road to watch what was happening.

We continued to al Fawwar to find out with Musa what has been going on with them recently. He confirmed news which I had heard: 3 days ago the army took some adults for questioning and brought them back. This is not seen as anything unusual.

Musa says: "This is the situation, we must understand that there probably won't be any change."

A widening is being made at the al Fawwar intersection.

We continued towards Simia, to visit Farhan, the principal of the elementary school in the village, and his wife. The Salamin family.

The school has about 30 students, grades 1-6. At the end of the 6th grade, they go to study in Samu’ , until the end of high school.

There is a shuttle there every day.

Recently, a demolition order was placed on one of the houses. The army hardly ever gets there.

Back on Route 60, in the outpost of Eshtamoa, works are being carried out that we saw from the road. There were two concrete mixers, and a bulldozer.

From time to time we see a military vehicle on the side of the road. routine
