Barta'a-Reihan, Tura-Shaked
14:00 barta'a-Rihan checkpoint
On our way down to the terminal we have noticed the new parking lot on the lowland of the village of Zbeida, South of the checkpoint. Many workers are already returning home from work with them are the Seamstresses from the various workshops at Barta'a. One of them complains emotionally about the aggravation she and her friends had endured while inspection of bottled drinking water. Someone else tells us that his 90 years old grand- mother id denied passage but the Israeli security forces and is banned from visiting her family at Barta'a. Apparently one of her sons served time in Jail some years ago. That person was in a hurry thus giving up our offer to help.
14:45 Tura-Shaked checkpoint
Traffic is sparse. Somebody returns to the West Bank after a day's work in Israel sand another returns from shopping in Jenin. Soldier are not seen.
A driver waits patiently in his vehicle. Our attempt to attract the soldier's attention to him' brings over their commander who orders us to leave the sleeve. After we left the driver had crossed over swiftly.
