Irtah (Sha'ar Efrayim)
The checkpoint opened as usual at 4:00. The first people passed through the checkpoint in just a few minutes. After a while it took 10-12 minutes to get through, and later on 15-20 minutes for men. At the same time a woman we checked got through in just 5 minutes.
Our impression is that fewer people came through than usual, probably because of the Ramadan fast.
A large sign in Arabic was put up with good wishes for the holiday.
In the parking lot one driver who was waiting for passengers pointed out to us how dark the area was. He said they need better lighting for the safety of the people who walk around between the vehicles. We promised to pass on his request.
