Afternoon

14:50 – Tura Checkpoint

It was very quiet and only four people crossed.  The Muezzins from Tura and Dahar al Malec were chanting at the same time.  It sounded very nice to me but there are also people who complain about it.

At 15:30 we left the checkpoint and saw that at the junction to Dahar al Malec there was new lighting and flagpoles for hanging flags for Independence Day.

On the way to Barta'a checkpoint there were wild flowers on the sides of the road and we stopped to look at the wild orchids.   We passed by Barta'a checkpoint and decided to go to Yaabed Dotan Checkpoint.  We arrived there at 15:50. We saw that Israeli cars were crossing without being checked.   One of the drivers claimed that this was how the military vehicle arrived in Jenin by mistake.

16:10 – Reihan Barta'a Checkpoint

Barta'a Checkpoint was crowded with cars.  We were pleased to see that the Palestinian kiosk was operating.   When we asked why we were told, "That's the way it is."

The turnstile was operating without stopping.  We gave Tami Shalaf's phone number to two men who had not received entry permits and drove home.  מקבלים אישורי כניסה.

During the Purim holiday Barta'a checkpoint opened during Saturday hours from 07:00 AM to 08:00 PM.
