Afternoon

13:10Habla - Many people are waiting nervously by the gate. They hold the gate in their hands as if they wished to break the fence.

13:20 – The soldiers arrive and walk around the area, and five minutes later they open the gate. The people push each other and argue who has come first.

In the meantime two military jeeps and one tender arrive and enter the gate into the village of Habla. The soldiers begin shouting on the people, shut the gate and let them enter five by five.

13:45Azzun - The gate is closed. Soldiers stand by it and check the persons entering and leaving.

14:00 Jit Intersection – the post is manned.

14:30 – Burin – the post opposite the school is manned.

14:40 Huwwara – the soldiers prepare themselves to man the checkpoint.

14:45 – Beit Furik – the checkpoint isn’t manned.

After I had read in the Al-Itihad newspaper of 22.11, that the army had destroyed a house in the village of Farush near Beit Dajan, we thought we should enter and see what was happening there, but people from Beit Furiq told us that it was very far away and that the entrance to the village was by way of the valley. The house that had been destroyed, belonged to the head of the council Tawfiq Haj Muhamad. Many soldiers arrived at the place and prevented the inhabitants from approaching.

15:00Za’tara – manned.
