Morning

Every thing was pretty usual on the way there with the usual crossroad and cameras and the rolling checkpoint.

Samoa, Dahariya, Dura-El  Fawwar, The sheep crossing and road 35.

At all the blockages is a huge Israeli flag which is compulsory equipment. M. and I make the assumption that this has been added to the situation by its being Ramadan. We will see next week after 'Id Ilfitir if we are correc.

On our way back the blockages have already been removed. There is hardly any traffic on the road. During  Ramadan whoever can prefers to stay at home and rest in the morning hours.

The work on the pillbox at Abda is coming to an end and there has also been built a yellow gate on which is also an enormous Israeli flag and cement blocks which have been decorated with a blue Star of David which I did not photograph.

In the photograph are soldiers on patrol at Dura-El Fawwar.

The rehabilitation of the house which is at the top of Tel Rumeida and which is being paid for by the Committee for the Rehabiliation of old Hebron of the Hebron municipality

There is not a living soul in the streets of Hebron. The Israeli flags are being taken down.

Everything looks horrible.

The distress of this ghostly city does not leave me in peace.
