Afternoon

15:10

We pass by Barta’a Checkpoint.  All four parking lots and sides of the road are filled with cars.  The parking lot for trucks on their way to inspection is also full.

15:15 – Ya’bed-Dotan Checkpoint

A military jeep armed with flashing lights is situated past the checkpoint, opposite the pillbox.  Cars pass without delay.  A major and a soldier come towards us.  Red boots, greenish beret.  Nahal (an infantry unit). They speak politely.  Palestinian drivers and passengers wave hello.

15:40 – Barta’a Checkpoint (Seamline Zone side)

We go down the sleeveinfo-icon (the enclosed passage leading to the terminal) with a group of workers on the way to the West Bank.  We are interested to know if they have already received the Corona vaccination.  We didn’t find one person who was immunized.  Their employers indeed promised that they will make sure to be vaccinated, but so far that hasn’t happened.  In order to be vaccinated, one had to cross at the Efraim Gate.

16:20 – Tura-Shaked Checkpoint

A young woman and a small girl arrive by foot from the direction of the West Bank and are picked up by a 4 x 4 vehicle that also arrives from there.  We asked a worker who returns home to the West Bank if he was vaccinated.  Yes!  He was vaccinated at Jalamaa Checkpoint.

We are sick and tired of the filth all around.  We have more photographed proof that this is the product of the Israeli army.
