Afternoon

Anata:  Large numbers of children leaving school.  Opposite where the children await school buses, huge quantities of building waste are being ground up, causing clouds of choking dust and endless noise.  How children are expected to learn in the UN school in the immediate area obviously is irrelevant to the Jerusalem authorities.

Isawiya:  There have been changes at all three exits from Isawiya since our last shift.  There was a police

vehicle posted at the exit from Isawiya to French Hill, although the road itself was not blocked.  At the exit to Mt. Scopus, gatesinfo-icon have been placed making it impossible for even pedestrians to leave.  (Cars have not been able to get through for months).  Even at the exit to the road to Maaleh Adumim, there were police vehicles posted and we witnessed a car stopped on its way into the village.

No changes in Azariah.  Many more vehicles than usual travelling south through the Wadi Nar checkpoint, but no disruptions.
