Afternoon

Anata:  Very little to report. The abnormal has become routine.  Children return from school, trudging along in the litter filled paths; vehicles progress through the checkpoints; occasional shouts from the border police but that is par for the course.

Isawiya:  No change.  Unimpeded access into French Hill and the road sawiyyato Maaleh Adumim.  Concrete blocks remain on the road to Mount Scopus, as do the military forces.

Azariah:  Continued neglect and reversion to previous messy status.Road to Wadi Naar.  Still no new activity in the area  which was prepared for some kind of building project.

Wadi Nar:  Many fewer vehicles than we used to see in the past.  Perhaps it was the time of day (around 3:00 p.m.) but we used to see many workers returning home, line ups of transits etc.  None of that present in the past few weeks.
