חוות יהודה

Sunday, as usual busy at the Meitar checkpoint.

Muhammad met earlier an older man, who has a trading permit, who said that he had not been allowed to cross with 2 bags (!) of toys, to sell … Saying that no one is allowed. Why? Unknown...

Soldiers are on both sides of the fence, in the area of the checkpoint, so that illegal workers cannot cross.

Abu Safi had his phone confiscated, and only the SIM was returned... he may soon be brought to court because of his traps which he had placed against animals which destroy his crops. He has had to pay NIS 2,000 bail as deposit to make sure he comes to court for interrogations and trial (Huge amount for anyone .…).

We continued on Road 60, on the way, Havat Yehuda, as you can see in the pictures, there is a sign with the Israeli flag and a new building / caravan.

Samu’ Junction is open.

We came to Farhan from Simia. We met his son Gazi, who had an accident with a tractor about a year ago. He is still limping but without crutches, and improving.

Children are already on summer vacation and only the teachers were active in the school. There are 22 children in elementary school, the school is functioning and they are less  afraid of the demolition of the school. Farhan and his son Muhammad, work at the school.

A few days ago there was an event in the village: The PA police arrived at the village (area c) during a chase, and shot the fugitive. The IDF soldiers thought that the villagers had fired, so they searched and turned the village over to find the weapons. In the end, they found the emptied shells and understand where they came from.

We continued to Al Fawwar Junction - open.

A day in the lives of Palestinians.
