06.01.2021 – Demonstration at the Military Courthouse in Ofer

Issa Amru is a peace activist from Hebron.

Today he was found innocent of 12 out of the 18 crimes of which he was accused.  He was found guilty of six crimes including participation in a march, and attacking and disturbing a soldier.

We were among about 25 demonstrators – most of whom were members of Machsom Watch and of  “Breaking the Silence” organization and other peace activists.

Issa thanked us and said: “Thank you all for your support.  Your support made me feel much better , and the judge and prosecutor noticed it.”

The verdict will be determined at a later date.   Gabi Lisky is his attorney.

We must continue to oppose the infringement upon human rights.
