Afternoon

14:00  Habla.  The crossing flows.

14:45  Jit junction.  Manned, and soldiers at the bus stop.

15:00  Madama.  Soldiers stood beneath the bridge at the western entrance and checked vehicles.

15:10  Burin.  The emplacement opposite the school is manned.

15:20  Huwwara.  The checkpoint is manned, random inspections, soldiers at the bus stops.  An emplacement at the plaza on the road to Itamar.

15:30  Beit Furik.  The checkpoint is manned, soldiers remove people from vehicles and pat them down.  When they saw us they dropped everything and came over to us, asked what we’re doing, and when I replied that our job is to see what’s happening at the checkpoints they misunderstood and wished us well (my companion is religious and wore a hat).

16:20  Huwwara.  Two jeeps driving on the main road, a few soldiers near the shops and another jeep drives on the side streets.

16:45  Za’atara.  Manned.  Palestinian vehicles are inspected, soldiers at the bus stops.

Ariel.  Two soldiers stood at the bus stop after the plaza.

On our way home, opposite the entrance to Jinsafut, stood soldiers with weapons drawn.
