Anata:

Minimal traffic.  What once was a huge garbage dump adjacent to the checkpoint has now been transformed into an area for grinding up rocks and other construction  detritus spewing clouds of lethal dust into the air that thousands of children walk through every day on their way to school.  However, the trash remains around the traffic circle and in the unemptied trash bins which are regularly burned spewing yet more lethal material into the air.

The situation around Isawiya remains the same.  There is free exit onto the road to Maaleh Adumim and into French Hill.  The exit to Mount Scopus remains blocked and a butke has been placed there indicating that it will be around for a while.

Azariah was quite empty today – probably due to the heat and

being right after a holiday.  It appears that the area en route to Wadi Nar is being prepared for something, but we have no idea what that is.
