Morning

Opening hours:  6:30 - 8:00

Ordinary day, calm.

6:30  The army arrives exactly at the time when it is supposed to open the gatesinfo-icon.  A few dozen people wait quietly at Habla. Our acquaintance, A., is alreadyt here organizing the line.

6:40  The first group of 5 exits after inspection.

Altogether, more than 200 pedestrians went through, including a total of 3 women.  Also cars went through, tractors, horse and wagons, donkey wagons and bicycles.

The significant event of the morning:  A man arrived with a car whose document he forgot yesterday afternoon in the hand of the soldiers.  The soldiers looked for the document which was found after a few minujtes and returned to him.

A. from the nurseries stopped alongside us and cllaimed that the soldiers were generally all right, but that sometimes they are late in opening the gates for trivial reasons.  He also said that the contact between the Israeli DCO and the Palestinian one has been renewed, but that the DCO has not yet distributed permits and the attitude towards the Palestinians in the DCO offices, in particular the officer in charge, was terrible.  They were promised that the permits would begin to be distributed today.  We will follow up on the process.
