Morning

Falamiya North – we arrived at 06:00, the gate was opened at 05:45, many workers were already waiting. The checking process didn’t advance. It turned out that the computer was out of order and the soldiers were obliged to use the phone in order to register the incoming persons.

This is the harvest period. They are finishing the Za’ater picking until the next round. The workers arrived with cardboard crates for the Guyava picking. Some of the farmers began picking olives, and others wait until the rain comes and rinses the trees and the olives.  When we asked about permits we got all kinds of replies (there are very few Hebrew speakers and it is not clear whether their answers are reliable).

The workers repeated their old request to open the return gate (when homecoming) in the afternoon at four or four thirty and not at six o’clock in the evening, when they are already tired and waiting to get out.

We were informed that they closed the Sal’it gate and that the farmers were directed to Irtah.

The number of workers and tractors was higher than usual. 18 tractors, one car, a cart and a horse, and one donkey.

Falamiya South – owing to the problem with the computer the soldiers arrived later, at 07:15. All in all there were 7 tractors and a car.
