Afternoon
No special events in the Azariah area, although we did note a police van stopping vehicles heading toward Jerusalem and a blue policeman doing routine checks at the end of our shift.
Wadi Nar
Once again, there was a large complement of security personnel there -- mostly border police. When we arrived, the checkpoint was totally empty. Those vehicles that passed through, and there were a lot, went right through with no delay at all.

As usual, there was a change of guard at 2:45 and for a few moments, there was a backup of vehicles, but as soon as the new people took charge, things started moving quickly. Some vehicles were stopped -- we noted that these were usually new model, upgrade cars -- but none were detained and everyone was quickly waved through. A great change from the mess of the last two weeks.
