On the way to Wadi Nar, at the Al-Ezariya and Maaleh Adomim intersection, there is a border-police vehicle across the road. Vehicles pass undeterred.
At the Zeitim Crossing 6 soldiers crowd the same single spot. Checking. Cars move slowly -- random stops and checking of documents.
One vehicle, carrying a passenger with a green ID and and another with a blue ID from Al-Ezariya, is delayed for more than 30 mins. When we inquire, the checkpoint commander replies that the check will be over in 5-10 mins, and so it is.
All is conducted quietly, and generally no different from other days.
On the way back the border-police vehicle is no longer there.
