Bethlehem, Thu 18.12.08, Morning

6:00  AM, Bethlehem Checkpoint: 3 checking posts are open. From time to time, the a fourth booth is opened, and closes again due to problems with the computer system. There are queues, but not long and waiting time is rather short. People tell us that the terminal opened on time and that they had not waited long, as opposite to what happened at the beginning of the week.

Sometime before 7:00, though it was calm at the Israeli side, we heard a lot of noise from the crowd on the other side. The guards went there and within a few minutes, the calm was restored..

Women keep complaining about the fact that there is no special queue for women.
