Morning
Summary: very few persons, perhaps because of the New Year, or because of the tension due to the war in the south, or because of the bitter cold.
6:40 Zeitim Crossing
Sparse traffic, fast crossing.
Wadi Nar
We parked, as usual, opposite the houses east of the checkpoint. Very few vehicles crossed, without delays.
While we were still warming up in the car, a security guard came up to say we are not allowed to park on this spot.
We tell him this is where we have parked for years.
He: Things have changed and now it's forbidden.
We: Who says? There's no sign.
He: I say. You cannot stop inside the borders of the area.
We: Where are the borders?
He: I'm not obliged to tell you anything.
We: You're from the army he's from the border police?
He: I'm not obliged to tell you anything.
In reply we said that we too are not obliged to say anything, and rolled up the car window.
It was cold. He left, and we carried on with our business.
