Abu Dis, Container (Wadi Nar), Ras Abu Sbitan (Olive Terminal), Sheikh Saed, Mon 24.11.08, Morning

6:30  we  start  At  Sheikh  Saed.  It  is  7:10  when  we  reach  the  C.P.and  there  is  hardly  a  person  coming  through.  As  if  there  was  a  closure  or  a  Muslim holiday.Only  children  and  very  few  of  them. 

The  soldiers  sit  and  chat  .  There  are  three of  them  ,  one  inside  the  "budke".

We  continue  to  Abu  Dis  via   Rus  el  Amud.  The  piles  of  rubbish  along  the  road  are  stagering,  there  seems  to  be  no  garbage  removel  in  this  are. 

In  Abu  Dis  there  are  a  lot  of  empty  tourist  buses  parked  near  the wall, where one can see
  more  and  more  Grafitti.    No  people  ,  the  place  is  deserted.  Is  it  not  what  our   authorities  were  hoping  for?  At  the  C.P.  there  has  been  some  construction  going  on  for  some  time.  But  no  people  in  sight. 

We  continue  to  Zeitun.  Again  empty.  No  taxies,  no  people,  We  ask  a  man  where  is  the usual  croud,  but  he  does not  know.

We  continue  to  Wadi  Nar,  it  is  already  almost  nine  o'clock,  and  here  there  are  many  cars  going  in  each  direction,  none  are  being  stopped,  and  the  C.P.  is  not  built  or  widened.  Just  a  few  soldiers,  many  cars  and  a  few  giant cement    blocks.
