Beit Iba, Thursday, 6.11.08, morning

8:40  Beit Iba – About ten cars at the entrance to the
town, being checked pretty quickly.  No inspections of people entering on
foot.  A pickup truck trying to leave is turned back.  Another pickup at the
entrance is turned back and drives off toward Qucin.  It isn’t clear whether
it arrived from their earlier; it looks like it came from Dir Sharaf.

People on foot go out quickly.

A bus arrives from Nablus
– all the young men have to get out, and their ID cards are checked.  A bag is
removed from the bus and its contents opened onto the road for inspection.  The
bus, that’s also inspected, continues on its way after about 10 minutes.

9:30  Women in Blue and White showed up, and we left.
