Morning

Anata  6:30-7:30
The soldiers observed appeared to be very pleasant and helpful to people. It was crowded but moved along.

Qalandiya  7:50 -9:00
The checkpoint was very crowded but appeared to be moving, though passage took a long time. The humanitarian gate closed at 8:15 and at 8:30, two very sick people arrived, each with a member of their family.  When we tried unsuccessfully to get the soldier's attention, we contacted Yotam who was sympathetic, opening the gate for these people who could barely stand upright.  He was also helpful when a group of doctors asked to go through the humanitarian gate.  After these people had passed through, another ill man tried to go through but the soldier in charge said she could not reopen the gate. We assissted them in getting through the regular line.  It would be helpful if a wheelchair were available for the gravely ill.
