Afternoon

Beit Iba
Today we went out on one shift to Beit Iba, Huwwara, Beit Furik.
13.45 Few cars go through the checkpoint. Especially trucks and buses. The checking of buses exiting Nablus is very careful and takes about 10 minutes. The driver gives the soldier all the IDs of the travelers, she looks at them and takes them to the military policeman who checks them in the computer. The baggage compartment is also checked. She then gets on to the bus with another soldier for a quick search. The driver is then given the IDs and goes on his way.

There are few pedestrians leaving Nablus. The young people go through the turnstiles and the x-ray device. The women, children and elderly go through the fast lane. The few going into Nablus are not searched. There are no detaineesinfo-icon. The commander speaks to us patiently and answers all our questions.
