Beit Iba, Qalqiliya, Tue 7.10.08, Afternoon
15.00 Beit Iba
We meet the same quiet, smiling and calm captain and Tomer of the DCO who has helped very much. There is a steady stream of students. Those leaving stay in the buses and the military policemen get in and check inside. Others pass through the turnstiles but with no pressure. There are no people trying to slip through and no detainees.
Pedestrians to Nablus are not checked but the cars going by the decision of the dogtrainer are delayed and then a line forms. Tomer opened another car lane at our request and the line disappears. After and hour and 15 minutes we leave.
20 cars waiting at the entrance. As usual there are police at the checkpoint. Israeli cars are allowed to enter only with a special permit.
