06:40 - Rihan checkpoint
About 15 workers waiting for transportation to work at the upper car park area. They say that the checkpoint opened on time and most people had already gone through; they also said that now, on Ramadan, people crowd at the gate in the afternoon and passage is very slow.
At the lower car park area it is quiet. 4 pickup trucks carrying goods are awaiting inspection. Very few cars travel in both directions. Only one car is under inspection at the vehicles' checkpoint in the direction of the Seam Line zone.
6 pickup trucks with goods are under inspection inside the enclosed yard since 06:00.

We met a man whose passage permit was taken from him this morning because his employer did not pay (tax??) to the bureau of employment. The permit was taken from him based on a complaint pressed by that bureau of employment. This man is banned from working.
The worker had received a paper stating that the permit was confiscated and was sent to Salem.

07:00 - Passage of people from the West Bank into the Seam Line zone takes 10-18  minutes.

07:30 - A cab from the Seam Line zone arrives, its passengers go through the vehicles inspection post using their magnetic cards while the car itself goes through a thorough inspection for more than 20 minutes.

07:50 - First 4 pickup trucks loaded with merchandise set out to Barta'a.

07:55 - Barta'a  checkpoint
-
The gate is open. Agricultural workers cross over to the Seam Line zone, passage time and inspection is 4-5 minutes. School teachers and pupils begin passing by. Teacher's papers are being inspected and pupils go through without being inspected.
A car that comes from the West Bank is inspected for about 2 minutes.

08:50 - Jalama checkpoint -
We went there to pick up a young fellow to Rambam hospital. Although this fellow has been going recently through the checkpoint almost every day on his way to radiation treatments, and thus must be careful of infection due to his weakened immune system, he he still being brought for inspection into a closed room with other people.
