Morning

07:45 Za'tara Junction

No cars from west.

Sixty five cars from the direction of Nablus.

Three checking lanes functioning.

08:00 Beit Furik Checkpoint

Ten vehicles in line.

The covered area is empty.

The checkpoint soldiers have stopped working (nobody crossing). Turns out it was done for a drill (which included, among other things, zeroing of weapons, soldiers jumping the checkpoint railings and sprawling on the ground), and meanwhile there is an accumulation of pedestrians.

After ten minutes, activity resumes.

We leave.

08:25 Huwwara Checkpoint

About 20 people in the hut.

Three checking positions working.

Checkpoint commander P. welcoming as always.

Checkpoint functioning without mishaps.

09:30 - following Zacharia's request from last night, we met a young Palestinian woman to take her to Tel Hashomer Hospital, where her two year old son is hospitalised with cancer, and had a bone marrow transplant four days ago.

Upon arrival at the hospital entrance, our passenger, head covered in a hijab, had to leave her ID at the police post, in return for which she received a number that would return her ID when she left. Of course they checked her bag, but not ours...

10:40 Za'tara Junction

Twenty six cars from Nablus.

No cars waiting from the west.
