Morning

06:20 Sheikh Saed

People go through one by one, slowly. 15 - 20 people are waiting uphill and approach the checkup shed only after the former person had left it. The few children and the women that arrived went through without waiting. After we arrived, the average waiting time was 6 minutes, but our impression was that our presence helped to enhance the tempo. Those who went through said it in so many words.

Zeitim passage

The traffic is vivid, flowing. It takes two minutes to go through. As usual, people hold their belts when coming out.

07:45 Wadi Naar

When we arrived there were two cabs detained and the traffic stuck. When we approached the place the traffic started moving, and in a short while the lines were shorter, and then disappeared, but two young men were taken into the detainee shed. During this time more taxis were detained, but it took a "reasonable"time to check the documents.
The two detaineesinfo-icon: According to one BP man they got an order to detain everyone who was born between the years 71-90, and the two are in the appropriate age. The talk with him was short, since he was pulled away from us by his friend immediately. Despite of this we did  see quite a few guys at this age group going through the checkpoint without any interruption.
after forty minutes the two were released holding an order to show up at the Ezion DCO, to see Captain Afik. The reason for this summoning was not written on the note, and the two of them had no idea what it was about.
