Afternoon

 15:40 – No cars in line.  We met Sami, who
brought us bottles of oil to sell.  He said that at Zaatra and Huwara
there is a huge crowd today.

16:00 – No crowding in the shed.  All the
turnstiles are working and traffic is flowing.  According to our
observation, the wait in line is about 10 minutes.  No detaineesinfo-icon.

The checkpoint commander – S. – listens and helps when
necessary.  When we first arrived we saw a soldier go up to him and
say:  "Did you see that they are standing here?"  and the
commander answered, "What do you care?"…

In the humanitarian line there is a blind
person.  The commander asks one of those going through to help him, and
they go out of the checkpoint hand in hand.  It turns out that the
commander is a school principal in Jerusalem;
religious.  Warmed our hearts.

16:30 – We left the checkpoint.  We didn't see
any reason to remain there.
