Tapuach Junction

7:40 a.m.

There are 9 cars from the west and 12 from the north.

Beit Furiq roadblock

7:55 a.m.

There are five cars.  There are up to 10 pedestrians.

We did not stop.

Huwwara roadblock

8:20 a.m.

There are about 30 people at the hut.

We met a woman from the ‘internationals' who told us that early this morning there were 200 people queuing, although the inspections were continuous and speedy.  We had a similar report from P., the roadblock commander.

Three checkpoints are functioning but at this moment only two are working - the inspector at the third checkpoint has gone for breakfast.

A 28-year-old man came to us for help - he is prevented from crossing by the Shabak.  He says that he has no connection, nor has his family, to any ‘security incident' and he can't find out why he has been refused a permit.  Try and explain to him that the Shabak is above any need to explain or to give reasons.  I told him to contact Micky Fisher.

10:00 a.m.

The queue reduced.

Tapuach Junction

10:30 a.m.

There are 28 cars from the north.
