Etzion DCL: Just as it was last week…

We arrived at 15:10 and about 50 Palestinians were waiting, most of them needed to renew their magnetic cards. There was no distribution of numbers but there was a list in Arabic that the Palestinians made. But somewhere around 16:00 o'clock it had disappeared.

This week there was a problem with the computers, which made the process of receiving the magnetic card slower.

Nabuani came and talked to us. From every 3 Palestinians coming out, 2 where denied passage by the GSS. Nabuoni said that the Palestinians know they are denied passage but they try anyway. The DCO sometimes deals with solving these situations when it concerns merchants and people who are late…

They  promised us that in spite of the delay everyone will be taken care off before the closing time of the DCO. We believed them and left at about 17:00 after having a fascinating conversation with a Palestinian woman who told us about her experiences when she requested to take off from Ben Gurion airport to get to Germany for medical care.

The Tunnel Checkpoint was open.
