Morning

Not a full curfew, nevertheless only a few Palestinians are passing. Those who pass are relaxed, smiling, wishing a happy holiday.

No one is sent back on account of prevention.

The soldiers are mostly out of work. A woman-soldier comes out from one of the inside rooms, she is full of energy and joins the conversation between two soldiers.

One of them asks, pointing his head toward me: "Who is she? What is she doing here?"

The other one responds: "She is a member of one of these Human Rights organizations".

The woman-soldier laughs and declares: "No big deal, we will go on protecting our state with pride!"

All this time Palestinians keep arriving, they don't have to stand in line, they greet us and pass. The Palestinian radio announced that there is a curfew, maybe that is the reason so few arrive, or they learned from past experience that on Jewish Holidays they are better off staying safely home.
