Morning

Little details make you aware of the occupation; it's here, dominating the lives of the Palestinians who struggle to survive while the occupiers willingly enforce it.

06:00 - The soldiers have arrived and Palestinian workers are already waiting at the exit from the checkpoint. One of the Palestinians is organizing the line of people waiting to begin their day of work.

06:15 – The first five people coming from Habla cross at the checkpoint.

07:00 -  The teachers' van crosses after the documents have been checked (the driver stops the engine, leaves the vehicle, walks up to the check post, returns to the van, starts the engine and drives on).

07:10 –Cars, pedestrians and people on motorbikes cross.

07:20 – The van returns with pupils. At the same time an additional van from Habla crosses.

A soldier approaches us repeating the words we have heard so many times: "Military area", "No  pictures", "Soldiers posted here for tactical reasons". Then he returns to his post.

Before that, a Palestinian who crossed said to us in English: "What we need is real peace, one word - peace".

07:40 – The last five people cross. The checkpoint closes.
