Jubara, Ar-Ras  14.00

The
gate to the entrance of Jubara is closed as it usually is. But this
time the soldier at the Taaniem passage says that he will not open as
there is an action in the village. Elisheva phoned the deputy assistant
of staff who says he knows nothing of this and orders that the gate be
open. The village is quiet and there is no sigh of an activity. The
children's gate with two soldiers in front of it  who give a swift
passage to all amongst them a cart with a donkey.

We
go on to Ar-Ras which is very quiet. Only the northern post is manned
and there is little movement. No dogtrainer and no delays. One solider
checks the few cars which come from Tulkarm.

Nadim
goes in the direction of A-Ras. Beit Lid. Road 557. On the winding road
between the hills between Sur and Beit Lid we see machines which are
intended to make a road and a tarred road north at the ascent to the
hill. It seems that this is the work of the Palestinians.

14.45
Two posts are manned. The drivers are well trained and know to stop at
a distance until motioned forward. Many cars with yellow plates and the
checking is random and traffic streams.
