Ma'ale Adumim

06.20: A queue of about 20 at the entrance to the town. Only two
soldiers, one securing the area the other checking the permits. It
took about 25 minutes for people to pass. Pretty soon the line grew
longer and there were at least 100 people. The soldiers decided to
"educate" the Palestinians. They demanded that stand
behind a certain pole. The battle of wills lasted about 15 minutes,
when a BP officer whisked himself in, screamed that nobody passes,
and the line retreated. A minute later another officer appeared,
demanding that the line retreat even further, and that the permits
be handed in while in line. His manner was outright
brutal.
