06.50 Tulkarm: The big gate is locked. Only one big tanker lorry on
the

Israeli side. No pedestrians from either side. A military jeep on
the

inner side of the gate near the checkpoint area. The soldiers say
there

is strict curfew. No one can come in or out.

07.10 Jubara checkpoint is empty. No vehicles, no people. We come
closer and see a group of school girls with an adult who tells us
that the girls cannot pass to Tulkarm. We immediately call the
Civil Administrationinfo-icon
and they are let through within 10 minutes. We
also succeed letting through humanitarian and medical people from
Jubara. In the mean time a group of about 12 men gathered not far
from the checkpoint. A school headmaster, a schoolbus driver and
others who work in Tulkarm.

They were not let through. Also all vehicles from Jubara were not
let through. A humanitarian private car with blood and other
medication was allowed through with our presence but couldn't pass,
because the dirt road was blocked with wires and boulders. The
driver had to walk 2-3 kms. with the blood and the other medical
goods. At the DCO a friendly officer A. promises to give an order
that the men from Jubara would be let through. We wait half an
hour. nothing happens. We call again. This time he is impatient and
tells us not to interfere with his work. Till we left at 9.20
nothing happened.
