Afternoon

14:20 - Beit Iba.

Crazy rain. Rivers streaming down the road. One can hardly reach the checkpoint.

The entrance lane is a flowing river. The soldiers are trying to improvise some ramps but traffic is very slow. Luckily there are not too many entering. At the exit too there are relatively few people and the inspection is curt and to the point. The commander Y. and the DCO guy are trying to be helpful and answer our questions.

15:35 We leave under torrential rain. We turn towards Beit Lid and reach the end of the queue. Although the DCO man had said that traffic was flowing again, there was still a heavy queue. We were told by the Centre that the flour lorry had been released.

15:50 Jit -No road block.
