Jubara, Gate 753, Ar-Ras

13:45 – At the entrance to the village of Jubara, a soldier opens the locked gate for us.

The soldiers at gate 753 welcome us and we continue to Ar-Ras checkpoint.
From the direction of Tulkarm there is a long line of cars, trucks and taxis. At the checkpoint two soldiers check documents and inspect the trunks of private cars.

14:00 – A taxi full of passengers pushes in and gets to the checkpoint. The taxi driver is reprimanded by the checkpoint commander and told to go back to the end of the line. The driver argues and then gets permission to stand aside.

14:10 – The checkpoint commander approaches the taxi driver, warns him not to push in in the future and releases him.

Anabta checkpoint

14:35 – A number of taxis are waiting on the side of the road at the Anabta junction.
Four soldiers man the checkpoint.
