Abu-Dis

Abu Dis. At the gate, two young women
have been kept in the sun for half an hour while their ID's are
being checked. The border policemen are unfriendly, yelling and
screaming.

Sawahre. Much queiter. One of the border policemen is playing with
a little black kitten. Private cars are not allowed through, but
most people have not difficulty crossing. A young man with a
Palestinian ID who lives on the Mount of Olives says he was stopped
and yelled at by a particularly aggressive border policeman, and
when he tried to go through the checkpoint a second time, was
grabbed by the shirt and the border policeman told him he better
watch out, "When you are alone at night, I will come to your
home and fuck you". The man was visibly shaken.
