Qalandiya

Ar-Ram: A long queue of cars - no
detainees.

Qalandya north: Many cars, trucks. At the checkpoint many soldiers,
but no volunteers. The commander, A., was efficient, effective and
cooperative. F. from DCO was present at the beginning and sent all
those without permits to Surda. A girl soldier was particularly
considerate, allowing old women and women with children to pass
without queuing. ID confiscated because of attempts to cross at
Tora Bora were returned after a few hours.

Qalandiy south: Soldiers apparently from another unit who had
"received orders not to speak to us" - their behaviour to
the Palestinians was in the same vein - rude and rough.
