No closureinfo-icon. Strangely, the most
"pleasant" we've encountered in quite some time. Swift
checks both along Ar-Ram and Qalandya (south and north). Jaba’a
checkpoint open. Yellow Palestinian taxis, which are usually not
allowed between Qalandya and rA-Ram - are not stopped. A
Palestinian man, accompanied by his family, complained: "You
should have seen what they did to us last week, when the Aqaba
talks were held: We waited for hours to get back home. It was a
nightmare". The new unit in Qalandya is so polite that even
some Palestinians remarked about it. People and cars were checked,
though not detained, and there was a "reasonable" car
line of aprox. 20 min. wait. There is a new barbed wire fence
between Beit Hanina and Neve Yaakov, separating these two
neighborhoods.
