07:10. The gate is open and no border
police there. Two border policemen down by the gas station watching
that people don't jump the wall. At the hotel no soldiers. The
owner said it is quiet for some time now.

Wadi-Nar: Many people climbing the mountain. At the checkpoint we
meet a few border policemen, acting "by the book", but
cordially. The soldier in charge said he would like to be more
lenient, but has very strict orders. Apparently some border
policemen were tried and punished for easing the orders. We left
after two hours frustrated. At the hotel no soldiers. The owner
said it is quiet for some time now. Once again we left very
frustrated. Where are all the new promises we heard this week?
