Afternoon

Because of the German Television film crew who accompanied us today - we focused on Azzun and Beit Iba, and not on the Nablus checkpoints. Still we went through them and here is the report:

Anabta:
At the entrance there is a queue of about 15 cars but there is progress and after a few minutes the queue disappears. And so it goes on: a few cars join the queue at 16:50 but immediately go through.

17:00 we depart.

17:10 Jubara
On the way to Jubara we saw the Ar-ras checkpoint from the road and saw that there were queues.

At the exit from the Jubara checkpoint we asked the commander for permission to enter Jubara. He refused and said that he has to ask for authorisation. We waited for 10 minutes and the authorisation did not come. We left but reported to the Brigade Commander, via a telephone message, that his promise for a permanent authorisation for Machson members to go through was not being kept.

This has to be checked daily.
