He claimed that there are no lists (of names) for the last two weeks.A group of children passed the checkpoint on the way to a swimming pool. They told us that they were bodily searched and their luggage was searched too.Near the shed they are building a prefabricated building, and one can see preparations for a permanent checkpoint – windows and such things. We concluded that contrary to a former evaluation, the place is getting established and will turn into a permanent checkpoint.M., the commander of the checkpoint and eight more policemen came back from Sawahre: a routine search. M. says: the closure continues and very few people are allowed to pass, not according to lists, but only those with blue IDs and humanitarian cases. A woman officer-cadet who came back with the policemen told us that she enjoys every moment of it. Why? She contributes to the security of the country and protects from terrorists. She photographed during the search a few houses. On their walls hung photograph of the terrorist who was killed in the checkpoint two weeks ago. His house is near the checkpoint. M. answers our question: “He is a Hamas man”- he cannot say more.
