 Beit Iba. 09:00– long line at exit. In answer to our question, the checkpoint commander explained that the area is being renovated still, and it is not possible to use a second lane. Suspect women, heavily dressed, are directed for more thorough checking by a woman soldier in a separate room. Similarly, young girls who do not yet have IDs are delayed. At the exit from the checkpoint there is a metal detector, and the transients have to remove coats and belts.
