Bethlehem, Tue 29.1.08, Morning

 
06:00. Bethlehem CP: The checkpoint opened at 5:10. On the Israeli side 5 windows were open although the lines were very short. By 7:00 the place, on both sides, was almost empty. Probably, because of the bad weather, many of the construction workers stayed at home.
The people complained that they have to wait on the Palestinian side from 4 in the morning with no protection from the icy wind and rain. They also told us, that the previous day was real hell and many came out of the CP as late as 9:30. Of course, their employers did not wait for them and they had lost a working day.
 
Because of the heavy rain and fog and almost zero visibility, we did not go to Ezyon DCL.
