Tora Bora: A lot of activity. The road from there to the taxis is full of "new" garbage and soil... There is bus service to Huwwara from 7:30 am to 17:00 - by a Palestinian company, Tamimi, with official permission.Qalandya: A very sad and frustrating day. The soldiers were especially hostile towards us and the Palestinians. A few detained Palestinians released after a very long wait (about 3hrs, they said). A young Palestinian complained that his ID had been taken away from him a few days earlier, and was lost by the soldiers... Since then he keeps coming daily to the checkpoint asking for a letter confirming the loss of his ID so he can go to Bet El for a new ID. In vain. We tried to help and called around, getting no reponse.Another problem today - the soldiers won't let some people through claiming that their ID is "fake" (Palestinian was written as Balestinian). On one of the Palestinian cars we saw a sticker with the inscription: "What will happen to us?" in English and Arabic, and another sticker saying: "There must be another way"...E-Ram - Large group of detained Palestinians. When we asked the BPs about them, we were ordered to leave.
