Weather: cold, rainy, stormy, ground slipperyBorder Police: There were three border police working under the roof of the gasoline station. They were checking papers quickly while yelling at everybody . Whenever the wind blew away the plastic bar which blocked the opening of the wall, they ordered people to put it back. They were not permitting to pass through the opening. The Wall: When we arrived, we found the old passage over the wall closed, but in the middle of the street, there was a passageway. Another one was open near the mosque. When we returned later, the passage in the middle of the road near the gasoline station was closed with a plastic bar.The only entrance to Jerusalem was now a dangerous slippery walk through the field which necessitated climbing over the wall at a place to the left of the former "passage". The wall here is higher and the concrete around it steeper than the old one. On the Jerusalem side, a drum was rolled in front of the wall on which one had to step, and then to jump from there to the ground. Most people needed help to maneuver their way over. Our actions:From the moment we realized the situation, O and I helped people of all ages -- children with their schoolbooks, Beouins with their bags and goods for the market. Conclusion: New situation at the wall. As long it is like this, we have to be prepared to help people in their efforts to climb over the wall.
