Patrol at Prophets Street & Route 1Corner of Prophets St. and Road No. 1- between East & West JerusalemWe found a regular checkpoint where Palestinians with blue I.D.'s are stopped as they go to and from work / home.A cold windy day and an assortment of 4 border police were stopping people on foot and in cars. One border policeman was crude and rough in language. Palestinians passed quickly. A taxi driver told us that from morning to afternoon he was stopped 15 times. A car driver told us he was stopped 3 times on his way home to Isawiya, and he was not yet 1/2 way home.Young men were most harassed.
