We then took the car north to E-Ram. At A Ram it was so wet and windy, we dared not leave the car. But the view from the window was calm enough, though a huge line of southbound cars were waiting. Since there were no transits around, we thought taking the car to Kalandia is less dangerous than getting out of the car. So north we drove. At Kalandia there were many cars parked on the roadside, and a tangle of vehicles. We realized we couldn't U-turn and park, so we took a right towards Jaba. We meant to check out Jaba and return to Kalandia, so didn't stop there and cannot report much. But we didn't go back. The road to Jaba was clear, and at Jaba we couldn't resist trying the road to Jerusalem (has anyone done thisbefore)? It joins the Jerusalem-Jericho road, and was really a quick drive back to Jerusalem. We had intended to spend some time at Kalandia, and were prepared to join the long line of cars at A-Ram, but the road was stronger than us ...
